ROBYN BALLIET

"There is no greater feeling then watching people get lost in the music." Robyn Balliet is a DJ/Producer with roots in New York and Detroit. Becoming a first-string violinist at a young age and growing up in family of artists, she cultivated a passion for music early. This passion quickly turned to the Detroit house & techno rave scene where she became fascinated by the magical effect music and its artists had on the crowds. She admired local Detroit legends and wanted to deeply understand the creative process of being a DJ and making music. Her journey officially began in Los Angeles where she decided to take this passion one step further by attending Point Blank music production school. Robyn's early love for Detroit electronic music comes full circle as she is set to release her own music this year and finally share what started in her teenage years. Always curious and open-minded in her approach, Robyn does not stick to one exact process or style. Rather, she draws influences from genres as diverse as classical to 90s hip hop--and, of course, electronic. It is important for her not to place limits on her creativity, and instead allow her mixes and productions to take unique, inspiring and unpredictable forms.
