MELLE BROWN

One of the most promising producer-DJs to emerge on the scene, Melle Brown continues to deliver glimmering house groovers with a sound that's distinctively her, turning heads since her EP's debut project 'Blossom'.

As one of the few young DJs capturing an authentic view on music from eras gone-by, capturing attention from the industry with her signature grooving tracks, Melle Brown first made waves when her Intersection EP dropped on Jamz Supernova's Future Bounce label featuring GRAMMY nominated Tiana Major9. The project received rave reviews from household names like Elton John, Toddla T, MistaJam, Tom Ravenscroft, Trevor Nelson, Gilles Peterson and more - kickstarting a flourishing career.

Since then, Melle has continued to release singles such as 'Brown Eyes Ft. Angelina & fromLondon', whilst 'One More Chance' and most recently 'Night Drift Ft. Loie' were released on tastemaker & DJ Monki's '& Friends' label.

Melle also adds remixes for the likes of Diplo and Mark Knight to her catalogue.

2022 saw her drop club anthem 'Feel About You' featuring legend Annie Mac, and was named as one of Billboards 'Best Dance Tracks of 2022', whilst landing stellar remixes from HoneyLuv, DJ Koze and Sean McCabe.

Melle has become a respected industry figure, having interviewed the likes of Nile Rodgers & Fraser T Smith for Apple Music Creative Studios, to a 'She Is The Music' mentorship with Fred Again & Kamille.

Melle became a Defected resident DJ after winning their Unsung Heroes'22 competition and has also covered BBC Radio 1's Future Dance for Sarah Story, alongside broadcasting her own show on Reprezent Radio.

Brown has also brought her signature sound of deep & soulful house, Tech, and jazz to life on stage, recently announcing her support for Tibasko (Brixton Jamm), Kerri Chandler (Koko) & Patrick Topping (Printworks) all kicking off a huge 2023.

Previously Melle has played sets across Boomtown Festival, Defected:Croatia, Parklife, Lost & Found, Field Day, Night Tales, Tobacco Dock, Ministry Of Sound, and Motion for Ewan McVicar's 'Handpicked'.

Inspired by the likes of Kerri Chandler, Sean McCabe, Ross Couch, Natasha Diggs, Demarkus Lewis, Chico Flash, Peven Everett & Honey Dijon to name a few - you often find Melle's DJ sets a bubbling blend of many of the above mentioned.

Tipped by MixMag as one to watch for 2023, this year will only see the soul oozing DJ & Producer solidify her mark as one of the most promising electronic acts.
